Prototype manufacturing
At Jobro, we have extensive experience and knowledge of manufacturing prototypes in metal and plastic. By manufacturing a prototype of your product at an early stage of the process, you can test and adjust your design before the production run starts, resulting in a better end result.
By working with us from start to finish – from prototype to finished product – you will ensure a good basis for production runs is achieved at an early stage of the process. This helps you avoid costly mistakes and at the same time increases the strength, economy and final finish of the product.
From drawing to prototype production – all under one roof
We have extensive experience in manufacturing prototypes for the automotive industry and other industries with stringent requirements on delivery reliability and profitability. To make the process more efficient, we develop our own tools for prototyping, reducing the time from drawing to prototype and lowering the cost of the entire production.
Our collaboration with Jobro goes back a long way. We appreciate the simplicity of having Jobro as a subcontractor, as we always get a fast response and quality that meets our high standards.

Smaller prototype and pre-series runs before full production
We know that a full-scale production run rarely starts right away. Once we have produced the prototype, we can therefore produce smaller pre-series in our own mechanical workshop until full-scale production is up and running. This allows for further adjustments and changes to the design and increases the profitability of full-scale production runs.
Prototype production for Scania CV – a profitable partnership
– “Our collaboration with Jobro goes back a long way. We appreciate the simplicity of having Jobro as a subcontractor, as we always get a fast response and quality that meets our high standards,” says Jan-Erik Levenstam, Supplier Quality Manager at Scania CV AB.
Series-like prototypes reduce costs
– Jobro is an expert in manufacturing prototypes that we can quickly validate in our process, and with low tool costs. Thanks to the collaboration, we can adjust the parts during the process, which makes manufacturing more cost-effective.
The parts that Jobro delivers are so similar to production run parts that they can be used in the pre-series flow in the form of live parts.
From start of production to full production
– After prototype production and the pre-series, the information and experience regarding production and manufacturing are communicated to the high volume manufacturers. Jobro is therefore a perfect partner during the Start of Production phase. Together we have found a pragmatic way forward. It is a way that works well and we look forward to continuing our journey together, concludes Jan-Erik Levenstam, Supplier Quality Manager at Scania CV AB.
